Vscribe ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

Account information — your email address when you sign in with Apple, Google, or email OTP.
Voice recordings — audio files you record within the app, stored securely and accessible only by you.
Transcripts and transforms — text generated from your recordings.
Usage data — basic analytics (e.g. number of transforms used) to manage your subscription quota.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide transcription and AI transform features.
To sync your recordings across your devices.
To manage your subscription and enforce usage limits.
To send you transactional emails (e.g. sign-in codes).

We do not sell your data. We do not use your recordings to train AI models.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure in the US. Audio files and transcripts are encrypted at rest and in transit.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase — database and authentication
OpenAI — transcription and AI transforms (audio is processed but not stored by OpenAI)
RevenueCat — subscription management (iOS)
Stripe — payment processing (web)

5. Your Rights

You can at any time:

Delete your recordings from within the app.
Request full deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us.
Export your transcripts directly from the app.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your recordings, transcripts, and personal data are permanently deleted within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Vscribe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice.
